True Shamrock or False Shamrock

The name shamrock comes from Irish seamróg, which simply means young clover, but which clover? There is no definitive answer to this, as even the experts disagree. Although most botanists do agree on one thing, it is one of two types of clover, either white clover (Trifolium repens) or, again, maybe suckling clover (Trifolium dubium). So now that's all as clear as mud, you will be glad to know that at Shamrock Seeds we supply a mixture of both kinds of seed in our Real Irish Shamrock Seed packets. To be sure to be sure.
